Tying my boots and taping up. The clatter of studs. Tension. Anticipation. I know what’s coming. We all do. Even after not playing for while. But it still stirs me, like it’s always done. I’m part of something that matters, that everyone around me treasures. Why does it mean so much? Maybe it’s that great explosion of energy and adrenalin. The thrill of contact and scrambling for possession. A killer tackle. The feeling when it all comes together. Or a pint with your mates in the clubhouse. One thing I do know. RFU Seal of Approval

In September 2007, Thames RFC were assessed by the RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION in meeting the standards of the RFU Seal of Approval, and was signed off due to the hard work of our members, coaches & Lisa Loughran in collating all of the necessary paperwork to achieve it.

What does this mean for the Thames RFC

    1.  Players - that the Junior section provides a well organised and
         enjoyable environment in which to learn and play rugby.

    2. Parents / Carers - that the Junior section is providing a safe
         & well oranised environment.

    3. Coaches - that the Junior section is committed to their
         development in providing the best possible standards of
         coaching.

    4. Local Schools - that the junior section has been assessed
         externally to a national level by the RFU to its commitment in
         providing a quality experience for the children.

       THAMES RFC are committed to continual improvement in all
      area's of playing Rugby at any age both female and male.
