THAMES MEMBERSHIP

Following the recent information meeting held at the club in respect of the future of our club we are now looking to secure the future discussed.

The club has applied to the local authority for planning permission on the current buildings, containers, etc and is awaiting confirmation.

This is only first stage of our 3year plan to obtain a permanent facility on our ground.

It is this reason that the following request is being made to all members who would like to participate in the future of our new development.

To ensure that we do not fall foul of any future building programme we are producing plans for our new facilities for which completion is expected late 2009.

We are now at our first stage where we have to produce plans /drawings for our new club house and changing room facilities so that the necessary planning permission can be prepared and lodged for approval.

To enable the club to proceed we have engaged the services of a professional architect who will advise and produce the required paperwork to allow planning permission to be agreed.

This however has a price, and to cover fluctuations in cash flow at certain times during the season but especially the off season we feel it is necessary to accumulate a cash reserve for the club in order to allow us to react to any immediate demands.

We are hoping that all members who have the clubs interest in mind and would like the opportunity of investing in our clubs future to consider the following proposal to raise the immediate investment required.

A special meeting has been called for FRIDAY 16th NOVEMBER 7.30-8.00pm to give members a more in depth explanation of our requirement and why these steps are being taken.

The proposal is :-

Members both full and associated will be invite to purchase a BOND CERTIFICATE

Value £ 50.00 along with this members will be offered to take out a life membership

at the club at a cost of £ 250.00.

To have the advantage of life membership you must first purchase a BOND CERTIFICATE
which the club undertake to pay back within 3-5 years, or earlier if circumstances permit.

It must be stressed the importance of having this reserve amount on hand to ensure that we can meet whatever is required in the future.

THIS IS A SERIOUS MATTER AS THE COMMITTEE FEEL THAT NOT MOVING FORWARD WITH THIS PROPOSED PLAN WILL RESULT IN THE CLUB CEASING TO EXSIST IN ITS CURRENT FORM
