 Thames RFC is working very hard to bring more Rugby into the local schools of the area. We have over the last couple of season been running taster sessions for Tag Rugby in a number of schools. Our aim is to increase this once more of our members have completed their coaching qualifications, which they are currently booked on.We have also gained the RFU's Seal of approval, click on the logo left to see how this helps with schools rugby as well as our club rugby.  We have also run half term Tag Rugby schools in partnership with the South Ockendon Forum, this has resulted in a number of the children now playing in our mini/midi section,where we coach the children in the basics of Tag Rugby for the fives days of the half term. At the end each child gets a certificate to show he/she has attended. As you can see it was attended by girls as well as boys.Thames RFC have also volunteered the use of our pitches and facilitites for district competitions. One of those occassions was on Monday 10th Dec where the District Year 8 competition was held, attended by St Clere's, William Edwards, Gable Hall & Hassenbrook.
